Meet The Rev Development Team

Mike Works

Principal
Mike is currently a licensed attorney in Nebraska and Wisconsin and a licensed real estate broker in Nebraska. He has managed hotels since 1995 and has been developing and managing hotels, multi-family apartments, retail strip centers and shopping malls since 2007. Mike brings his legal background and real estate experience to each and every development with REV Development. In addition to REV Development, Mike is co-owner of Nightcap Management. Nightcap Management is a hotel management company that was created to bring great value to investors while focusing on Quality and Excellence in Service.

Justin Hernandez

Principal
Justin Hernandez is a member of the REV Development team and president of NGC Group. As the leader of NGC since its creation in 2009, Justin is responsible for all company operations, along with developing and managing field/office personnel, overseeing the company’s annual budget, project management and forecasting, owner relations, and business development. Justin is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Lincoln – BS Construction Management, Minor in Business Administration. He has extensive experience in all facets of the construction and development process, and has participated in over $900MM of construction and real estate development projects over the past 22 years.

Josh Harm

Director of Finance & Investment
Josh manages financing, investment analysis and investor relations for REV Development, working with numerous private and corporate partners across the Midwest. He has experience in various equity partnership structures within the multi-family, hospitality and commercial real estate asset classes. Josh is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Lincoln – BS Business Administration with a graduate degree in banking from the University of Wisconsin. He has extensive experience in financing with over 15-years in commercial lending, originating over $350MM in construction and real estate development financing.

Rachel Glock

Development Director
Rachel is a former Chief Financial Officer of a general contracting firm where she focused primarily on financial management, construction operations and real estate development. She has experience leveraging a variety of financing mechanisms in order to effectively develop multifamily projects, including HUD 221(d)4, TIF, conventional bank financing and local grant opportunities. Rachel is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney – Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Peru State College – Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting with CPA focus. She has extensive experience in all facets of the development process, and has overseen design, construction, lease up and on-going operations of 1,000+ successful multifamily units.

Derek Zimmerman

General Counsel
Derek has over 15 years of legal experience primarily focused in real estate transactions including real estate development, zoning and land use entitlement, tax increment financing, leasing, commercial lending, and general corporate governance and policies. His unique legal experience includes both private practice and the corporate sector, with work spanning multiple states. A lifelong Lincolnite, Derek graduated with high distinction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and from the University of Nebraska College of Law with high distinction where he served as Executive Director of Nebraska Law Review.

Cayden Beran

Analyst
Cayden began his career at REV Development as an intern, working in property development and operations while still in college. Cayden graduated from Concordia University Nebraska with a Master of Business Administration, a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, and a minor in Communications. After completing his internship, Cayden was promoted to a full-time role at REV as a financial analyst. Cayden is responsible for analyzing market data and assessing feasibility, constructing and auditing financial models, coordinating due diligence to secure financing, designing presentations and offering memorandums, as well as managing the REV investor portal.

Spencer Volzke

Tax Advisor
Spencer is a member of the of REV Development team and is currently the CFO of NGC Group. He has over 20 years of construction accounting experience, of which the last eight years have been with NGC Group. He has extensive experience preparing both reviewed and audited financial statements, tax planning, budget preparation and management, and equipment financing. Spencer graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University – Business Degree with an emphasis in Accounting. He has passed the CPA exam and worked in public accounting prior to transitioning into private industry.

Sarah Larkin

Controller
Sarah graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She began working in the construction industry immediately after college and has worked in the industry for 16 years handling multiple different roles focusing on project financing, legal/contract administration, and accounting. Sarah works closely with the construction management team, owners and banks to track the full project budget from start to finish. She is currently studying to become a Certified Management Accountant to compliment her extensive experience gained over the last 16 years.

Analyst
Conner Works is a member of the REV Development team. Conner is responsible for real estate and business development. Conner is a graduate of Concordia University – Business Administration and MBA with an emphasis in finance. He will graduate in May 2023 with his JD from Nebraska College of Law. He has experience in all facets of the development and management process.
